Scheduling an Exam
Booking your imaging exam at Golden Gate Radiology is straightforward. Here is everything you need to know.
We offer a full range of diagnostic imaging services at our facility located within Chinese Hospital in San Francisco. A physician referral is required for most exams. Once you have your referral, our scheduling team will help you find a convenient appointment time.
How to Schedule
Obtain a Referral
Ask your primary care physician or specialist to send a referral and any relevant prior imaging or medical records to our office.
Contact Our Scheduling Team
Call us at (415) 982-2100 or ask your physician's office to fax the referral to (415) 982-2101. Our team will contact you to confirm your appointment.
Prepare for Your Exam
We will provide specific preparation instructions depending on your exam type. Please arrive 15 minutes early and bring your insurance card and a photo ID.
Attend Your Appointment
Our technologists will guide you through the exam. Results are sent directly to your referring physician, typically within 24–48 hours.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
Detailed imaging of soft tissues, joints, brain, and spine without radiation.
CT Scan (Computed Tomography)
Fast, detailed cross-sectional imaging for a wide range of conditions.
X-Ray

Ultrasound

Mammography

Lung Cancer Screening (Low-Dose CT)
